
Panaji: Power Minister Nilesh Cabral said that the total solar power generated in the State of Goa till March 2021 was 17.1092 MUs, and the target set by the Government for solar power generation for the year 2021-22 was 150 MW.
“The target set by the Government for solar power generation for the year 2021-22 is 150 MW; The total solar power generated in the State of Goa till March 2021is 17.1092 MUs”, said Cabral.
He further said that the total amount spent on subsidy for solar power generation till 31st of March 2021 was Rs. 1,43,60,580/-. Cabral said that as per the directives of JERC, quarterly compliance report of RPO was being submitted to JERC from FY 20-21.
“The State Government of Goa has decided to set up a floating solar power plant on four dams in the state: Selaulim, Amthanem, Anjunem and Chapoli dams”, he added.
He also said that the Government had invited expression of interest (EoI) to select solar power developers to set up a grid-connected floating solar power plant at these sites.
